The Founding Circle

Five practitioners. One alliance.

The founding members of MDLA, convened in 2025 by clinical leaders in Chicago and Dallas.

How the Circle Was Assembled

The founding circle was not assembled to be representative. It was assembled to be credible. Each founder was chosen for a reason the others would recognize without it being explained — clinical leadership, community uplift, the willingness to be the first to say yes.

None of them needed MDLA. Every one of them said yes anyway.

Pinewood Dental · Lemont, IL · General dentistry & implants

Founder of Pinewood Dental and co-founder, in 2010, of the Chicago Muslim Dental Society — the regional precursor that helped shape MDLA. DMD, Case Western Reserve. Mastership, American Dental Implant Association. The kind of dentist other dentists call when they have a hard case — not because he is louder than the field, but because he has been at the chair longer, more consistently, with fewer shortcuts.

“We owed this to each other. We just hadn’t built it yet.”

Clinical Assistant Professor at UIC College of Dentistry, and an elected Village Trustee in Morton Grove. The second opinion Chicago-area GPs want before a complex referral goes out.

“I want junior women dentists to see that the work is the point.”

The Standard

This is the standard.

Every founder, every member, holds it. Clinical integrity. Willingness to give back. Public contribution. Community uplift. Growth mindset. Peer referral. The criteria are not a checklist — they are a description of the kind of dentist the alliance is built around.

If This Resonates

The founding circle is being seated through 2026. Once seated, the role does not reopen.
