Membership

Membership is by invitation.

Here is what that means, how to engage, and what the alliance asks of you in return.

Founding Cohort · Closing 2026

The role of Founding Member will not be offered again once the cohort is seated.

Founding Members carry standing benefits the alliance will not extend to later cohorts. If you have been considering whether to engage, the window for founding membership is narrowing.

How Membership Works

Two stages. One alliance.

The first year is free, by design.

It gives a new member room to engage, contribute, and find their place in the alliance before any financial commitment. The first year is when you teach a Master Class, mentor a peer, attend the roundtables, and decide for yourself whether MDLA is serious.

After one year, members in good standing are invited to continue — with annual dues that support the alliance’s programming and operations. Continuing membership is not automatic. It is offered to members who have shown up, contributed, and reflected the conduct the alliance is built around.

This is the model on purpose. We are not selling access. We are inviting commitment, and asking the alliance to earn yours first.

What Members Receive

A programmed year. Member-led.

Every member gets a structured calendar of programming, peer access, and ways to contribute. The faculty are practitioners, not paid speakers — and the first year’s calendar is built with the founding cohort, not handed to it.

i.

Master Classes

A programmed series of peer-led sessions across the year — clinical specializations, the business of dentistry, practice acquisition, partner disputes, hiring, selling with dignity. Taught by members for members.

ii.

Peer Access

A trusted circle of values-aligned Muslim dentists for the conversations that don’t happen elsewhere. Referrals, second opinions, judgment calls — the kind of advice a peer gives, not a vendor.

iii.

A Platform to Give Back

Mentor a junior dentist through MDLA’s structured program. Teach a session. Be a guest on the podcast. Contribute the way that fits your life — without burnout, without the expectation of permanence.

How To Engage

Two paths.

Apply for membership if you are a practicing Muslim dentist in the United States. Nominate a peer if there is someone the alliance should know about.

For Practicing Dentists

Apply for membership.

A short application. Six criteria are presented — you indicate which you meet. Membership candidates meet at least three. The application opens in this page; nothing leaves your browser until you choose to send it.

For Existing Members & Peers

Nominate a peer.

Put forward a colleague the alliance should consider. Same short form, with space for your relationship to them and why they should be invited. Nominations are reviewed alongside direct applications.

After You Apply

What happens next.

Three steps. We aim to give every applicant a clear answer within sixty days.

i.

The founding circle reviews.

Every application is read by the founding members. There is no automated screen. We are looking for fit, not credentials alone.

ii.

A conversation, not an interview.

Promising candidates are invited to a thirty-minute call with two existing members. The conversation is the application. We are getting to know you.

iii.

A decision within sixty days.

You receive a clear answer — admitted, deferred, or declined — with the reasoning behind it. We do not leave applications open indefinitely.
